Karin Zeiner Salzmann

  • Artist Statement

"My works are colorful, symbolic and humorous. They are about being human. We live in a fast, impressive world full of contradictions, which easily makes us forget our focus on our simple being. Each painting deals with a specific theme and is a self-contained little cosmos. It is a moment of silence and contemplation, a time out from everyday life. In my paintings, the human body symbolically stands as a vessel for inner processes as well as emotional states and thought processes."

  • CV

Karin Zeiner Salzmann lives and works in Salzburg. As a visual artist she works with the techniques of painting, ceramics and fabric design. Early on she developed her very own style, which enabled her to have a large number of solo and group exhibitions. Longer stays in Paris and Los Angeles as well as her training as a mental trainer awakened her interest in the subject of "being human". She deals intensively with the question of what this means in concrete terms and how living together could function in a harmonious way.
