  • A PLANT CONVERSATION

"... the holy green, the witness of the blessed, deep life of the world."
    Friedrich Hölderlin

It is no coincidence that Hölderlin ascribes to "green" the testimony of life: the growing and becoming, the passing and re-emergence, the magic of the cycle of nature not only form our basis of life, they are also symbols of the alpha and omega of human existence - along with all the shades of the in-between. Reiner Heidorn makes green the starting point of his artistic creations and creations they are! As if he creates a cosmos that pays homage to all living things, dripping and dripping, streaking and speckling, billowing and wafting green towards the viewer in a wealth of variations that seems to know no bounds in terms of color or form: from light lime green to pistachio, emerald, turquoise and olive, everything that constitutes color can be found in his palette - supplemented by earth and water colors. • Reiner Heidorn lives and works in Weilheim, Bavaria. As a painter, he processes the relationship between humans and nature in his oversized and mostly monochrome paintings. His paintings consist of tiny microscopic elements, which are arranged in various shades of green and blue fluently in smooth transitions on the canvas. They suggest forests, lakes, plants, up to entire worlds. Thus his artistic work stands in a contemporary discourse on socially topical issues such as climate change or the alienation of man from his natural environment. Reiner Heidorn's works have been shown in exhibitions in Brazil, Dubai, the USA and in various German and European cities.
