Viktoria Morgenstern about her sculptures

My work is inspired by my life, personal experiences and impressions. I try to give form to these inner aspects and emotions in my work to find a new dialogue beyond them. I understand my sculptures as intuitive drawings in space. In my working process I look for a possibility of further development and expansion beyond the purely visual or narrative level. The outer appearance of each of my objects is the equivalent for an aspect of this human inner life.

In my work I deal with fundamental questions about the emergence of identity, social and socio-political contexts and dynamics. What interests me is what it means to be human.
